Student Support Services
Food
All students stay for lunch. Students in grades Kindergarten through sixth grade eat in the parish center. Students in seventh and eighth grade eat in their classrooms. Students bring their lunch and may purchase snacks and drinks in the parish center. The parish center is supervised by a faculty member, a lunch coordinator and volunteer parents.
Health
Care given in school is limited to first aid at the time of accidents and illnesses until parents can be reached to take a child home, to the doctor, or to the hospital . Emergency cards are kept for each student.
The school nurse, provided by haverford Township, is on duty Tuesday and Thursday, from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm. The nurses office is in the school building and supplies all of the needs for first aid, or support until appropriate medical help can arrive.
Physical examinations are required when a child enters school and in the sixth grade. They can be given in school or by a private physician.
Vision is checked yearly; growth screening every other year. Hearing is checked in Kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade and sixth grade. Reports are sent home when a child is found deficient in an area. The school program provides examination by a dental hygienist, dental health education for the students as well as referrals for all pupils in grades 1 to 4.

Transportation
Walkers
A small percentage of students are walkers. These students are from the neighborhood surrounding the school. There is a school zone light system and a crossing guard..
School- Sponsored Transportation
The majority of our students
take advantage of township busing.
Haverford, Lower Merion, Marple/Newtown and Radnor school
districts provide transportation for our students. In order to
initiate
service a form is submitted from the school. The mailing of the
form
should be followed up by a phone call from the parent to the district
in which the students resides. Busing is provided at public expense.
Public Transportation
Students do not use public transportation.
Parent -Sponsored Transportation
Many of our students are driven
to school by parents. There are a few
organized car pools within neighborhoods. Most students are being
driven less than 5 miles.
Field Trips
Written permission is required for children to participate in an educational field trip. The permission slip will specify the type of transportation the students will be using on the trip. The school uses busses from designated bus companies.
On trips where parents are
asked to drive, parents are required to be
aware of the Archdiocesan Policy that in the case of an accident,
the driver's insurance company assumes primary liability. Parents
will be asked the number of rear seat belts they have and will
be assigned only that number of children to transport.
