SCRIP Program

Scrip is Gift Cards the school buys at a discount from retailers and then re-sells at face value. Scrip is a major fundraiser for the school. The revenue earned from Scrip sales subsidizes the tuition of all SCJN students. The profits from Scrip go directly towards the day-to-day operating expenses of the school, i.e. heat, school maintenance, teachers' salaries. Without Scrip, all families would pay higher tuition, regardless of whether they receive a subsidy from their parish.

Each family is required to buy a minimum of $1200 between July 1 and June 30th.

NEW THIS YEAR: Families have the option to pay a $250 fee to "Opt Out" of the Scrip Program for this 2011/2012 school year. By paying this fee, families are then not required to purchase Scrip during the 2011/2012 school year. A form is sent home to each family in the beginning of the school year which must be signed and returned to school if families choose this option.
