WHERE WE EXCEL

Ss. Colman-John Neumann is a Catholic school rooted in Christian values. Love of God and neighbor is the cornerstone of our educational philosophy.

Ss. Colman-John Neumann School offers a challenging academic program for all levels of ability for grades K-8. The courses taught follow the Archdiocesan curriculum guidelines. Learning the Catholic faith as well as learning to live that faith every day are important characteristics underlying these studies. Critical thinking skills and the mastery of the fundamentals are the primary emphasis in the implementation of the curriculum. We consider our school to be child-centered, family-sensitive and our principal and teachers are in touch with their own learning styles and those of the students they teach. We boast computer technology across the curriculum, in order to prepare students for future challenges.

The educational environment of Ss. Colman-John Neumann School is supplemented by a wide range of extracurricular activities to support the students as they grow in awareness of God and self. The activities include: Altar Servers, Student Council, Social Justice Program, Yearbook Committee, Scouting Program and CYO Sports.

The principal and teachers of Ss. Colman-John Neumann are qualified and avail themselves of continuing professional development opportunities. They care about and support each other while making the needs of each student a priority.

The facility itself is modern and well maintained. Located in the sprawling hills of Bryn Mawr, a suburb of Philadelphia, the school is open to families who reside within the territorial limits of St. Colman Parish, Ardmore or St. John Neumann Parish, Bryn Mawr.

Ss. Colman-John Neumann School is a parochial elementary school sponsored and supported by both St. Colman and St. John Neumann parishes. We operate under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and we follow the directives and mandates of the Office of Catholic Education. The pastor of St. John Neumann parish has the ultimate authority and responsibility of governance in all matters concerning the school. The pastor of St. Colman parish is consulted on a regular basis. The principal initiates programs, directs and supports the faculty, and is an integral part of all decisions which affect the children of Ss. Colman-John Neumann School.
